MUEKSH PATEL CENTRAL LIBRARY, SHIRPUR
Established in 2007, the Mukesh Patel Central Library serves as the intellectual heart of the institute. It offers a well-balanced blend of print and digital resources, aligning with NMIMS University’s vision to promote quality education and foster research, innovation, and development. Spanning 45,000 sq. ft., the library provides a dynamic learning environment equipped with modern knowledge resources and innovative information services that support students, faculty members, and the broader academic community in their intellectual pursuits.
The library houses a rich collection of over 36,500 books, 27 full-text databases, and more than 1,00,000 e-books from leading publishers, along with NPTEL video lectures and other academic materials. The 2nd International Symposium on Knowledge and Communication (ISKCOM 2026) is being jointly organized by SVKM's NMIMS, MPTP Shirpur Campus, India, in collaboration with the Faculty of Information Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University (KKU), Thailand. The symposium will be held from June 12 to 13, 2026, at NMIMS, Shirpur Campus, Dhule, Maharashtra, India.
In recent years, the world has witnessed remarkable transformations across multiple domains, including Libraries and the Library Profession. The evolution of technology has transformed the way libraries are managed and how information is accessed and disseminated globally. These trends have opened new opportunities for users of Knowledge Resource Centres while simultaneously presenting new challenges for information professionals.
